Why Autability Exists

At Autability, our mission is to educate, train, and support those who parent or work with neurodivergent individuals. While there's no shortage of advice available, much of it still comes from a neurotypical perspective — which can overlook the real-world realities of being autistic or ADHD.

We believe the most powerful approach is a combination of lived experience and clinical accuracy. When personal insight is paired with professional knowledge, the result is training that is not only relatable and practical but also medically sound and trustworthy.

Meet the Founders

Autability is led by two directors, Charlotte and Danielle — both neurodivergent, both parents to neurodivergent children, and both deeply committed to reshaping how we understand and support autism and ADHD.

We’re committed to ensuring that all of our content is medically accurate and up to date. While we’re not medical professionals ourselves, we work closely with a trusted advisory team who review everything we produce to ensure it aligns with current research and best practice.

Our advisory team includes three psychiatrists — neurodivergent and neurotypical — as well as a neurodivergent surgeon with a special interest in autism and ADHD. Their expertise helps us combine lived experience with clinical accuracy in everything we do.
